Sports and fitness has always played an integral part of my life. After competing at a high junior level in both tennis and soccer, I accepted a scholarship to play tennis at Fresno State. It was my time as a Division I student athlete that instilled my lifelong commitment to health, fitness and the connection between a strong body and a strong mind. After elbow surgery prevented me from playing tennis at a competitive level, I turned to running as a way to stay fit. I completed my first marathon in 1999 and fell in love with a whole new sport. Since then, I have run countless half marathons and nearly 20 full marathons. 

When I became a mother, fitness became a vital part of my daily lifestyle. It is not always easy and it certainly is not always convenient, but fitting in a bit of exercise each and every day helps me to be the version of myself. And when I take care of ME, I'm a much better wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. 

I've always been passionate about getting the best out of others; my natural inclination has always been to help individuals maximise their potential. After 17 wonderful years teaching in school settings, I decided to switch gears and apply these teaching skills in a slightly different way.  I am now a certified Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Running Coach.
